Job Opening: Fine Art Technician

Are you passionate about the arts and possess technical expertise to bring creative visions to life? We are seeking dedicated Fine Arts Technicians to join our dynamic team at Art Zone. As a leading force in the arts and culture scene in Ottawa, we are committed to delivering high-quality experiences to our audience.
Responsibilities:
Set up and maintain art installations, exhibits, and displays.
Collaborate with artists, curators, and other team members to ensure the successful execution of artistic projects.
Handle the installation and operation of audio-visual equipment, lighting systems, and other technical elements.
Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support during events and exhibitions.
Maintain and organize inventory of art supplies and technical equipment.
Ensure the safety and security of artworks and installations.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an arts technician or in a related field.
Technical proficiency in audio-visual equipment, lighting systems, and other relevant technologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical or arts-related certifications are a plus.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required for installations.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed, to support events and exhibitions.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to art installations and events.
Job candidates must be comfortable working at elevated heights.
