Wage range: $22-30/hr

Are you a skilled truck driver with a passion for the arts? We are seeking a versatile individual to join our team at Art Zone as a Truck Driver and Art Handler. This unique position combines the expertise of a reliable truck driver with the finesse of an art handler, ensuring the safe and secure transport of valuable artworks and installations.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate and maintain the company truck for the transportation of art pieces, installations, and related equipment.

  • Coordinate with artists, curators, and team members to schedule and execute timely deliveries and pickups.

  • Implement proper handling and packing techniques to ensure the safety and security of artworks during transportation.

  • Assist with the installation and de-installation of art exhibits and displays.

  • Collaborate with the arts team to maintain accurate inventory records and handle logistics for exhibitions and events.

  • Adhere to all safety regulations and transportation laws while on the road.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver's license.

  • Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.

  • Previous experience in art handling, including packing, unpacking, and installation.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, ensuring the safe handling of valuable artworks.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Additional certifications in truck driving or art handling are advantageous.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for transporting art and related equipment.

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends based on exhibition schedules.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of artworks during transportation and installation.
